Laura Elsner, a loving wife, and mother of two, passed away, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the age of 50. Laura was born November 4, 1971, in Green Bay to Thomas and Lynne (Shorey) Ostertag. She attended Ashwaubenon High School, graduating in 1989.
After graduating, Laura began her life with her soulmate, Daniel Elsner. They married on June 27, 1992, and shared over 30 years of love and adventures together. Laura and Daniel were blessed with 2 daughters. They started two businesses from the ground up, Construction Specialists and later Get Bit Baits. She had developed a proficiency with numbers and used those talents as a night auditor for almost 10 years at The Comfort Suites and Rock Garden.
Laura was an avid outdoorswoman who loved fishing. She had a love for music and attending concerts. She was a huge Packers Fan. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family. As a daughter of a long line of Airforce servicemen, she was very proud of her lineage and their service to the country. She loved entertaining at her home and at the cabin in Silver Cliff. She was an animal lover and devoted pet mom, especially for English Springer Spaniels. Laura had a kind and generous nature, always putting others before herself.
Laura is survived by her husband, Daniel; her daughters, Alicia(Joe Ledwell) Elsner and Amber Elsner; her parents, Thomas and Lynne Ostertag; a brother, Michael(Joy) Ostertag; brother-in-law Robin(Cyndi) Elsner and Keith(Patty) Elsner; Sister-in-law Christine Reno Reinke; Life long best friends Tammy Schacht and Kristal Ellison; Godparents Maribeth and Robert Scarborough and her beloved pets: Angel, Odin, Loki, M'ko, and Patches. She is survived by several special cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, fur grand-babies, and the Elsner clan.
She was preceded in death by her lifelong best friend, Tanya, who also fought the same battle as Laura did; her father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Audrey Elsner; brother-in-law, Scott Elsner; maternal grandparents, Donald and Ruth Shorey; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Ostertag and many special pets, including her favorite dog, Kota
