Larry G. Polak, age 80, of Shawano, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born February 22, 1943 In Milwaukee, WI, son of the Chester and Marie (Schmidling) Polak.
After high school, Larry served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a lab technician for Antigo Langlade Hospital for many dedicated years.
Larry was a talented gardener and loved tending to his beautiful flowers gardens. He loved to cheer on the Green Bay Packers and was in attendance in New Orleans for their Super Bowl win in 1997. Larry also liked to watch baseball. He will be lovingly missed by those he leaves behind.
Larry is survived by his nephews, Jim (Dawn Myers) Bushy and Michael (Julie) Bushy and a niece, Janet (James Leveque) Clark. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Judy Polak, 5 great nieces and nephews, his canine companion, Bear and his cat, Tammy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers: Gerald (Leslie), Gene (Mary), Ronald; 2 sisters, Shirley Krahn and Theresa (Glenn) Bushy; nieces and nephews: Laura Breckheimer, Linda Arrowood, Brenda Wenzel and Bobby Bushy.
Private services will be held by Larry's family. He will be laid to rest in All Saints Cemetery, Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Larry's family would like to extend their gratitude to the team at Compassus Hospice, as well as Shawano Health Services for their care and compassion.
