Kristen(Kris) Rentmeester-LeRoy, 41, passed away on January 14th, 2016 after a long illness. She was surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her passing.
She was born on August 2, 1974 to the late David Rentmeester and Barbara(King) Rentmeester. Kris was a graduate of Preble High School class of 1992. On September 27, 1997 she married Jack LeRoy. Together they raised their 4 children: Andrew, Cerra, Trevor and Jacob on their family farm.
Kris was a courageous and strong woman, who never let her painful illness interfere with the way she lived her life. She always put others first especially her children. They were her passion; she lived every day to the fullest with their best interest in mind.
Kris also had a great passion for the fine arts. As a child she played the piano and as she got older she shared her love of music through the choir. She was also an amazing artist. Kris owned and operated dance studios in the area where she helped others pursue their love of dance through her passion for dance. Kris enjoyed spending time with friends and her "second" family the Kafkas, especially during the Packer season. She was known for her amazing Jello and Pudding shots.
Kris loved the outdoors. No matter the time of year she could be found with flip flops on her feet and a camera in her hand. She was always sure to capture the memories for us to now share.
Kris expressed her love of animals through her involvement with her children's 4-H club, at the county fair where she instilled that love for animals into her "second" daughter-Nicole.
Kris is survived by her children: Andrew LeRoy, Fond du Lac, Cerra LeRoy Denmark, Trevor and Jacob LeRoy, Luxemburg and the father of her children, Jack LeRoy; her mother Barbara Rentmeester; brother Todd Rentmeester; niece Paige Rentmeester; paternal grandmother, Almira Bowers; aunts and uncles. Kris is further survived by her best friend Jodi Delveaux and her extended "second" family.
Kris was preceded in death by her father, David, maternal grandparents; Marie and Robert King; paternal grandfathers Gordy Rentmeester and Leroy Bowers.
Kris was a fun, colorful person full of life. To honor her we ask for you to wear vibrant colors.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Kris's name at Fox Communities Credit Union.
Kris's family would like to extend an extra special heartfelt thank you to Jen Mac of Aurora Medical Center.
