Kevin R. Swanson (Uncle Red), age 62, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 11, 2018.
Kevin was born and raised in Marquette, MI. He was the 5th child of Betty Swanson (Penhale) and Kenneth R. Swanson. Kevin was a lifetime roofer working with his best friend Glen "Cheetah" Pederson and brother Kenny Swanson in the family business Swanson Roofing for over 25 years. Kevin and Kenny spent most of their time coffee clutching and hanging out together. Family was very important to Kevin, although quiet and known for the one liners, he always made everyone laugh and will continue to honored in our families stories and memories. Kevin loved kids. His daughter Jayne "princess" was the light of his life. He was so proud of her achievements and looked forward to her visits and daily phone calls.
Kevin lived in Green Bay near his brother and niece. He loved spending time with his great nephews Kaden and Alex and niece Nicole (Kevin) Craig. He never missed a dinner, school, or sporting event. He also made "good looking sandwiches" for his great niece Gracie.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers, Ronald Ritari and Tom McEachern, and sister Mary/"T.T." C. Smith (Ritari). Kevin is survived by his daughter Jayne Daley(Travis), son Kevin Swanson, granddaughter Quinn Ison, brother Kenny Swanson, and little sister Pam (Tim) Phillips. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Kevin will be laid to rest next to his mother and grandmother in Negaunee Michigan. A private memorial will be held during the summer.
