Kevin R. Johnson, age 65, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at his home, Thursday, September 23, 2021, surrounded by his loving family after battling cancer for several months. He was born February 8, 1956 in Fort Atkinson, WI, son of the late Royce A. and Georgette (Walther) Johnson and was a graduate of Sheboygan South High School, Class of 1974.
After graduating from high school, Kevin continued his education at UW-Platteville, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Kevin's began his career working alongside his father and older brother for Wick Homes. He also worked in mortgage banking with Knutson Mortgage. From there he went on to developing subdivisions and the homes within them along with commercial properties. In 2010, Kevin began working as a project manager for Multi-Conveyer in Winneconne, WI. Kevin married Susan Mueller, December 12, 1980 in Manitowoc, WI, sharing 40 years together as husband and wife.
Kevin was a talented gardener and cook. Everyone knows his famous salsa and "swamp dip." He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He shared many memories with his family and friends at their beloved cabin in Northern Wisconsin. Mr. Skill could never sit down and was always looking for his next project and anyone that was willing to help him.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Susan; his children: Shanna Johnson, Austin Johnson and Stacey (Jeffrey) Steckbauer; 6 grandchildren: Anthony, Sage, Talan, Meadow, Leif and Reid; 3 siblings: Kim (Judith) Johnson, Pamela Johnson and Kirk Johnson and his mother-in-law, Barbara Mueller. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at a later date.
