Kenneth "Cowboy" Vlies Sr., 74, of Green Bay, passed away on November 11, 2023 at ThedaCare, Neenah. He was born on November 9, 1949 to Joseph and Marie (Parins) Vlies in Green Bay. On March 9, 1985, he married the love of his life, Jeannie Mann. Cowboy worked as a Supervisor for American Foods for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, always enjoying his time up north at his cabin, hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
Cowboy is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie, 6 children: Michelle (Todd) Dorner, Kevin Vlies, Kenneth Jr. (Gena) Vlies, Dustin Vlies, Jessica (Donny) Paral, and Laura Vlies-Wotachek; 13 grandchildren, his mother, Marie Vlies, four siblings: Jim (Gaye) Vlies, Joe Vlies III, Cindy Vlies, and Becky (Joe) Hietpas; brothers and sisters-in-law: Marcia Vlies, Jim (Dee) Mann, Jeff Mann, Jay (special friend, Merrie) Mann, Judy (Jay) Hartstern, Jerry (special friend, Bonnie) Mann, and Joe (Janet) Mann; mother-in-law, Ellen Mann; further survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Francis Vlies Jr., two siblings: Patricia Groy and Ron Vlies; sister-in-law, Jackie "Chicky" Mann and father in-law, Gene "Sonny" Mann.
A celebration of life will be happening at a later date.
