Kenneth J. Schwartz, 88 of Bellevue, went to his heavenly home to be with his wife Marilyn on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Unity Hospice in De Pere surrounded by his family.

Ken was born on May 17, 1931 in Green Bay, son of the late William and Mary (Van Der Steen) Schwartz. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. On May 17, 1952 he married Marilyn Netols at Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Green Bay. They spent 65 years of loving marriage together until her death in 2018. Ken worked as a Truck Driver until his retirement. Ken loved spending winters in Texas with Marilyn. He was always known to be humming, whistling or singing throughout his days. Ken enjoyed carpentry and wood working, yard work, and helping his family and friends. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his six children: Bob (Diane) Schwartz, Rick (Cindy) Schwartz, Debbie (Rob) Ropson, Mary (John) Opsahl, Laurie Schwartz, and Mike (Barb) Schwartz. Ken leaves 15 grandchildren: Carrie Ann (Shay), Sarah (Monty), Eric (Jenny), Shelly (Jeremy), Jason (Robyn), Adam (Laura), Kimberly (Chris), Stephanie, Katie, Justin (Derek), Danae, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Nicholas, and Benjamin along with 18 great grandchildren, and a granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Schwartz. He also leaves two sisters-in-law: Carol Nooyen and JoAnn Skarzynski and many extended family. Ken is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, grandson, Neil Schwartz, great granddaughter, Gabrielle Schwartz, and brothers-in-law: Robert, William (Ione), and Kenneth Netols, Eugene Nooyen, and Dale Skarzynski.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16th from 9 AM - 11 AM at St. Matthew's Catholic Parish, 130 St. Matthew's Street, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in the Church. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

Ken's family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Unity Hospice and St. Vincent Hospital for the exceptional care given to him in his final journey.
