Kenneth "Ken" F. Fonder, age 81, of Townsend, WI, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 16, 1935 in Green Bay, son of the late Irwin and Elsie (Doucette) Fonder and was a 1953 graduate of Green Bay West High School.
After graduation, Ken enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country for 4 years on the USS Loeser-DE680. Ken married Gloria Phillips, June 12, 1954 in Green Bay and together they shared 62 loving years of marriage and raised 7 children. Ken was a machinist at PCMC for 28 years.
Ken was a family man and time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild was most dear to him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Gloria; his 7 children: Greg (Jennifer) Fonder, Terri Fonder, Karen (Ron) Broekman, Mary (Terry) VanDrese, Vicki (Brent) Duprey, Lori Fonder and Sandy (Jerry) Zambrowicz; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; several step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Norbert; sister, Dorothy Kaminicki and granddaughter, Amanda Zambrowicz.
Visitation will be held at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Friday, July1, 2016 from 4 to 6:45 PM. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM with full military honors.
