Kenneth J. Bennett, 80, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was born, September 4, 1934, in Green Bay to the late Earl W. and Agnes E. (Coel) Bennett. Ken married the love of his life, Joanne (Jacobs) Bennett and they celebrated over 50 years together before Joanne passed away on September 25, 2013.
Ken was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany, and then went on to work for H. C. Prange's, later known as Younkers, until retiring in 1995. Ken loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could at his cottage. In later years he especially enjoyed sitting on his deck at home and visiting with family and friends.
Ken is survived by his son Daniel Bennett, and daughter Victoria (David) Bennett Veum; his grandchildren Samuel, Katherine and Alexander; step-grandchildren Christopher and Benjamin; his brother Thomas (Mary Lou) Bennett; sisters-in-law Luella Bennett and Marion Jacobs. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife Joanne, son Gregory Bennett as well as several other family members.
Private services and burial were held at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
