Kenneth C. Schroeder, age 90, passed away on September 30, 2022 and Jean J., age 90, then passed on October 30, 2022, the longest time they were apart was this time span.
They were married on May 3, 1952, they had just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Shortly after their marriage Ken joined the Army and proudly served our country during the Korean War. Once he returned they started their family and were blessed with two sons, David and Donald. Ken went on to work for Fort Howard Steel and Wire until his retirement. Jean stayed home and raised the family. They loved going to their cottage in High Falls Flowage, Crivitz; hunting together in Dunbar, going on many motorcycle excursions, and were over the moon when grandsons were part of the family. Ken and Jean took the grandsons across the country on annual vacations. Their family and friends were everything to them, whether someone asked for a helping hand or just a quick visit.
They are survived by their two sons: David (Julie) Schroeder and Donald Schroeder; six grandchildren: Alissa (Tyler) Grundman, Tyler Schroeder, Kyle (Danielle Sterry) Schroeder, Kenneth (Alisha Pagan) Schroeder, Greg (Stacey) Schroeder; four great-grandchildren: Rivers Schroeder, and Tyson, Rayvin, Emily and their mother, Tisha Wilson; lastly Jean's brother, Jack DuMoulin. They were preceded in death by their parents, one grandson, Mark Schroeder, all seven of Ken's siblings and six of Jean's siblings.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life at a later date.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Brown County Nursing Home, Promedica, and Bellin for all their wonderful care that was given to Jean and Ken.
