Keith Kraning

June 11, 1965 — January 26, 2025

Keith Kenneth Kraning (59) of Green Bay, WI passed away unexpectedly on January 26th, 2025 due to natural causes.

Keith was born on June 11th in Kenosha to Mary Geronimi and Kenneth Kraning. He grew up in Green Bay, WI and graduated from West High School In 1983.

He was a very hard worker and worked as a millwright. Anyone who knew him would say that he could do almost anything at any job that he was at. Keith was a devout catholic and leaned heavily on his faith all throughout his life. In 1999 he welcomed his baby girl Sydney, and was blessed with his son Sawyer shortly after in 2003.

Keith was known for his fierce loyalty and protectiveness of those he loved. Keith had immense love for his family and was always there to assist anyone in need. He was the kind of person you could reach out to in a crisis and rest easy knowing he would be there in an instant to lend a hand. He always loved being a caretaker, whether it was for his children, his mother, or anyone else lucky enough to know him. He loved to workout, fish, hunt, garden, and anything that involved being outdoors. He also loved to cook and knew how to turn any meal into a burrito, whether it should be one or not. He loved to make people smile and laugh, and always cracked the best jokes. His family will miss the profound impact that he had on them.

Keith is survived by his daughter Sydney Putnam, son-in-law Chase Putnam, son Sawyer Kraning, mother Mary (Koehne) (Geronimi), sister Kim Clark (Keith), niece and goddaughter Samantha Ahnen, nephew Sean Anhen (Catherine) and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Kraning, loving step-dad Tony Geronimi, Grandma and Grandpa Koehne, and uncles Fred and Jack Koehne.

Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

A Celebration of Life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Green Bay on February 6th. Visitation will be held from 5-6pm with a memorial service to follow from 6-6:30pm. Flowers can be sent to Newcomer Funeral Home located at 340 S Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301.

“For the rest of my life, whenever I fall down, I get back up. Whenever I am hurt, I drive on. Whenever I am brought low, I rise. That is not because I am virtuous, strong, resilient, it is simply because my father was.” ~ Meghan Mccain. Rest in Peace to our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law.
