Kathleen Ann Mallow, age 74, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 3, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 29, 1942 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Cossette) McKindles and was a graduate of Bishop Baraga Central High School, Marquette, MI.
Kathleen worked at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church as the church secretary. She currently was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Her faith was very important to her. Kathleen married Donald Mallow in 1984 and they shared 27 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2011.
Kathleen was a proud grandma and spending time with her grandchildren was most precious to her. She loved to thrift shop with her daughters and loved a good card game with her sisters. She also enjoyed being outside tending to her flower gardens and solving jigsaw and Sudoku puzzles. Family was EVERYTHING to her. She loved to laugh and laughed easily. Her generous and giving heart will be dearly missed.
Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Sherri Bitters and Kelly (Mark) Kubichek; grandchildren, Keely and Camren Kubichek; step-children: Jane, Donald and Julie; many step-grandchildren; brothers: John (Lu), Pat and Tim McKindles; sisters, Colleen Snyder and Marie (Steve) Haas and sister-in-law, Kathy McKindles. Kathleen is further survived by former husband, Gary Bitters.
In addition to her husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert McKindles; nephew, Randy Sheldon and brother-in-law, Ron Snyder.
Visitation will be held at MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH (3186 Eaton Rd., Green Bay), Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2 to 3 PM. A funeral service will follow at 3 PM with Rev. Stephen Sauer officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, De Pere.
Our family can not even begin to express our gratitude for the incredible devotion, care and love given to our mom from Dr. John Gray. He was not only her doctor, but a true friend. We would also like to thank Christina and Jessica for their exceptional care and support.
