Katherine Gerber

Katherine A. Gerber, 102, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 22, 2012. She was born June 13, 1910 in Frazee, MN, to the late Balthazar and Katherine (Schuetz) Gerber. Katherine was proud to be a nanny for several families throughout many years in both Frazee and Green Bay. When she was in her 80's she was a grandparent at Encompass Childcare. Katherine loved all children, her prayers, baking and cooking. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Katherine is survived by cousins, Lorly Schik, John, James, and Bill Delaney; special friends, Terri (Rollie) Bosse and Cynthia (Bob) Ruitta; and many others.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Helen Gerber.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 413 St. John St., Green Bay at 11:00am with Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Frazee, MN.

A special thanks to the staff at Santa Maria Nursing Home for all of their love and care they have shown Katherine over the last ten years.
