Karl G. Raymakers

April 20, 1937 — March 29, 2018

Karl George Raymakers, age 80, of Green Bay, died on Maundy Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Bornemann's Nursing Home.

He was born on April 20, 1937 to Mildred Ording & Walter G. Raymakers.

Karl graduated from East High School in 1955 and attended Wartburg Lutheran College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961.

He played trumpet in Eisenhower's Band before being deployed to Germany where he had secret code clearance, teletype, security as the Berlin Wall was going up. He was honorably discharged.

In his younger years he played concert piano, trumpet, sang in several choirs and had a ham radio.

He lived in Colorado from 1978 until 1990 and sang with the Soli Deo Gloria Choir. He also auditioned and sang in the choir for Ronald Reagan's Inauguration in Washington D.C.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his two daughters, Deb (Tom) Huysken of Green Bay and Karla Ledet of Louisiana; four grandchildren, Adam John Ford of PA, Brad Karl Ford of NE, Sarah (Chris) LeBlanc and Brittany Ledet of LA; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Carson and Isaiah; sister, Joyce of OR.

Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery where full military honors will be rendered.
