Karen Marie (Thyrion) Hanson

Karen M. Hanson (65) was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She graduated from East High School and was the second daughter of Donald R. Thyrion and Shirley A. (Peterson) Vickman. Karen was a really kind-hearted person with amazing artistic talent and enjoyed a free-spirit her whole life.

She enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques, doing artwork and spending her spare time with family and friends. Karen is survived by her two sisters: Sharon S. Lindberg and Sue A. Ropson , and a half-brother Kevin Thyrion.

Karen was blessed with two daughters; April M. Thyrion and Casey L. (Nichols) Judkins. Six grandchildren; Dakota, Nathan, Alex, Eayden, Derrick, and Jen. She came from a big family and enjoyed growing up with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and had several close friends throughout the Green Bay area.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald R. Thyrion, mother Shirley A. Vickman, infant brother Rusty Thyrion, grandparents: Alfred and Annie (Rowell) Peterson, and August and Millie (Compton) Thyrion.

We are grateful for the care provided by the emergency staff at St Vincent Hospital and for her cremation services with the great staff at Newcomer Funeral Home in her final days. The family will be announcing a celebration of life for Karen at a later date.
