Karen L. Magaurn, age 79, of Green Bay, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, after a brief illness. She was born May 29, 1939 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Leslie B. and Lillian (Zehren) Allen and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, Class of 1957.
Karen married William "Bill" Magaurn, May 13, 1961 and they shared 55 loving years of marriage and were blessed with 3 children before he passed away July 7, 2016. Karen was employed as a secretary and divisional coordinator at the Shopko general offices for 24 years. In retirement, she worked 6 years along side her sister, Diane.
Karen was an avid golfer and member of Shorewood Ladies' Golf League, serving as league secretary and on many other committees. She was also a faithful member of St. James Women's Fellowship for many years. After Karen and Bill retired, they enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona, visiting their daughter's family. Karen's biggest enjoyment was creating floral arrangements and Christmas decorations for all of the holidays. Her family fondly remembers her delicious holiday cookies.
Karen is survived by her her children: Todd (Lisa Majestic) Magaurn, Green Bay and Tim (Shanna) Magaurn, New Glarus, WI, Kelly (Brian) Farrell, Phoenix, AZ and Stephen (Constance) Terry, Kansas City, MO. Karen is further survived by her beloved grandchildren: Alexandrea Petty, Talya Enfroy, Brandon Magaurn, Charnette Leikness, Connor and Cole Farrell and great-grandchild, Karlynn Enfroy. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Diane (Richard) Dombeck, along with nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William "Bill" Magaurn.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 3 to 5:30 PM. A funeral service will follow at 5:30 PM. Entombment will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the American Cancer Society in Karen's name are appreciated.
