Judith O'Carroll "Judy" Naze, age 84, of Marinette, WI, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, with her family at her side. She was born in Green Bay, WI, July 3, 1939, daughter of the late James P. and Audrey E. (Neville) Gittens and was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Green Bay, WI, Class of 1957.
Judy married Gary Naze, January 4, 1958. Shortly after, they welcomed their first child. Their marriage was blessed with 3 more children. Gary preceded her in death, October 1, 2017. In addition to being a devoted wife and loving mother, Judy worked for many years as a baker/cook within the Green Bay Public Schools. She shared of her time as a volunteer at the hospital in Marinette for many dedicated years.
Judith was known for her incredible sense of style. Her look was always perfectly polished. She was an avid collector of Precious Moments figurines and was a talented crocheter and baker. Judy had a green thumb and tended immaculate gardens and flowers both inside and outside. Judy and Gary loved to travel and cherished their home on the Peshtigo River, enjoying the beauty and wildlife that surrounded them. They also loved to spend time at the casino, especially the penny slots. Judy was happiest when she was at home, dressed in a snazzy outfit, surrounded by her family and her beloved dogs, all named "Tar."
Judith is survived by her children: Debbie (Gary) Nadolny, Peggy (Pete) Craney and Michael Naze; 3 grandchildren: Jennifer Carviou, Dan (Abbie) Nadolny and Chris (Heather) Nadolny; 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Kay Van Deuren. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Gayle Gittens, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary, a daughter, Kathy Ebben, a granddaughter, Alison Frank and her brother, Patrick Gittens.
Visitation will be held at St. Willebrord Parish (209 S. Adams St., Green Bay, WI), Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 9 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM with Fr. Andy Cribben, O. Praem, celebrant. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Menominee Animal Shelter (P.O. Box 673, Menominee, MI 49858), in Judy's name are appreciated.
