Joyce R. Pasterski, age 91, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 18, 1930 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Raymond and Genevieve (McAllister) Monfils Sr. and attended Green Bay East High School.
Joyce met Raymond Pasterski, while she was working at a diner he frequented. They married, December 6, 1952 in Green Bay and shared 21 blessed years together before Ray passed away, September 24, 1974.
Joyce was a talented gardener and loved to be outside enjoying her flowers and watching the birds, especially Cardinals. Joyce also enjoyed working on word searches and reading religious books. She was a woman of strong faith and her family says she had a "direct line" to God. First and foremost, Joyce was a homemaker and caregiver to family, friends and her beloved canine companion, Lacie. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Joyce is survived by her 3 children: Colleen Pasterski, Debbie (Steven) Penington and Guy (Patricia) Pasterski; 2 grandchildren, Bryan (Noel) Brown and Trista (Nick) Gerrits; 3 great-grandchildren: Hunter Pasterski, Brier Brown and Angela Brown and a great-great-grandson, Oliver Myles Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and a son, Jay Pasterski.
Visitation will be held at St. Patrick's Oratory (211 N. Maple Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 PM. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Unity Hospice in Joyce's name are appreciated.
Joyce's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.
