Joyce V. Missbach, 84, of Denmark, beloved wife of the late Karl Missbach, departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at Bellin Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Joyce was born on Oct. 1, 1934 in Wheaton, Illinois, daughter of the late Ottmar and Katherine (Vogt) Landwehr. She was a graduate of Mattoon High School, Class of 1952. Joyce later obtained her cosmetology degree from Milwaukee Accredited Beauty School.
She began her career as a beautician in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and later moved to Green Bay where she met Karl and they were married on June 3, 1961 at the United Methodist Church in Mattoon, Wisconsin. Joyce and Karl moved to Tacoma, Washington, for a year as he served in the Army National Guard until they returned to Green Bay.
After returning to Green Bay Joyce and Karl began their family and moved to Denmark in 1976. While living in Denmark, Joyce owned and operated Misty Brook Beauty Nook for many years.

In her spare time Joyce enjoyed oil painting and gardening. Joyce also reveled in researching genealogy and was able to connect with her relatives throughout Germany. She loved to travel and visited many countries including: China, Germany, Egypt, and Israel to name a few.
She was a kind and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother (known as "Nonnie" to her grandchildren), and a friend to many. Joyce and Karl were devoted members of the First United Methodist Church in Green Bay, teaching Sunday school, and volunteering to serve meals at the homeless shelter.

Joyce is survived by her three children: Lisa (Steve) DeTemple, Todd (Jamie) Missbach, and Timm (Janet Johnson) Missbach. Joyce leaves her siblings: Otta (Rebecca) Landwehr, Lillian Huebner, and Carl (Jane) Landwehr. Her legacy includes six grandchildren: Nathan and Naomi DeTemple, Kennedi, Regan, Samuel, and Greta Missbach. Joyce also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tylar Missbach.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 12 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A service celebrating Joyce's life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe Street, Green Bay. Entombment in the Nicolet Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum will be private.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bellin College of Nursing Scholarship Fund in lieu of flowers.

Joyce's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nurses on the eight floor of Bellin Hospital and the Wavrunek, Peters, Sundquist, and Linzmeier families for their support and care.
