Joyce M. Lemerande

December 3, 1933 — April 4, 2021

2 Corinthians 5:8 To be absent from the body (as Joy is) means she is at home with the Lord Jesus.

Joyce M. "Joy" (Korn) Lemerande entered Heaven to be with her God and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

Joy was born December 3, 1933 to Ken and "Tillie" (Scholzen) Korn. In 1942 she moved from Racine to Green Bay. Joy attended St. Joseph High Academy and graduated in 1952. In 1953 she married Bob Eschelweck and from 1954 to 1963, they had eight children.

Joy began working at the Green Bay Press Gazette as a MAC operator in 1976. She retired in 2006 after 30 years of dedicated service. In 2006 she went to work for PDC and finally retired in 2017. After retirement, Joy enjoyed traveling, whether she needed a passport or just taking a day trip, knitting, sewing, Bible studies, "computer stuff", being in God's great outdoors, spending time with her children and grandchildren and going to their events. She also spent time with her many sisters and brothers in The Lord at Christ the Rock Community Church, her friends from the Press, her sister, Leanne and countless other relatives and friends.

Joy is survived by her children: Dee Ducheny, Ann (Curt) Leidel, Lisa Hendricks, Tina (Mick) Carriveau, Karen Eschelweck, Julie (Takuji) Sakiyama, Sharon Hulsey and Bob (Mary Kay) Eschelweck Jr.; her brother, Dan (Bonnie); 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Bob (father of her children); mother, Tillie; step-father, Donnie; brothers, James and John; sons-in-law, Dan Ducheny and Chris Hendricks; grandson, Dylan Sakiyama and great-grandbabies, Jack and Alice Nail.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 2 to 4 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world (yeah, you!) that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever (all of us) believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Make Jesus your personal Savior today!!!

Joy's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Unity Hospice for treating Joy like she was family.

Extra special thanks to family members Sharon, Tina and Jessica who devoted countless hours to Joy's care as well as to everyone else who showed their love and support at this difficult time.
