Joyce C. Bertrand

Joyce C. (Hardy) Bertrand, 80, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at her home, Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was born April 15, 1932 in Chicago, IL, to the late Julian and Signe (Erickson) Hardy. Joyce grew up in Lake Forest, IL, and on September 13, 1952 she married Roger D. Bertrand at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lake Forest. Joyce and Roger lived many years in Green Bay, WI, raising their family and working at the Bertrand Family Sporting Goods Store. Together Joyce and Roger enjoyed 20 years of retirement in Hot Springs Village, AR, they returned to Green Bay in March of 2010. Joyce was a warm, loving, generous person and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Roger D. Bertrand; 2 daughters, Lynn Bertrand of Green Bay, and Lisa (Michael) Bertrand Moore of Seattle, WA; 3 grandsons, Michael, Garrett, and Dylan Martell; 1 granddaughter, Sheridan Rose Moore; and 1 brother, Charles (Darlene) Hardy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Signe Hardy.

Family and friends may call Friday, September 14, 2012, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Ln., Green Bay, from 10:30am until 11:30am. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 11:30am with Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
