John Saxon Woodhead

August 5, 1960 — June 9, 2024

John Saxon Woodhead, age 63, of Green Bay, passed away June 9, 2024, as a result of an accidental fall. He was born August 5, 1960 in Walnut Creek, CA, son of the late Roger John Woodhead and Judith Waidtlow.

John lived most of his life in the Denver, CO area. He owned his own business and was a successful carpet installer for many years.

John was a very social person and loved to travel. His greatest joy in life was his beloved son, Andrew, who sadly preceded him in death in 2013. Together, John and Andrew enjoyed many activities including, golfing, traveling, scuba diving and driving through the mountains and back woods in their Jeep.

John is survived by his mother, Judith Waidtlow; his brother, Jeffery (Diane) Woodhead and their son, Jonathan Woodhead and half-siblings, James (Yolanda) Woodhead, Battleground, WA and Marta Woodhead of Florida. He is further survived by a nephew, Gabriel (Coren) Woodhead and their 3 children.

He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Woodhead, his father, Roger Woodhead and a half-sister, Leda LaRouche.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 4 to 6 PM.

John held a very soft spot in his heart for animals. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the Wildlife Sanctuary in John's name are appreciated.

John's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Vincent Hospital for their incredible care and compassion.
