John J. Wojciechowski, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 9, 2022 with his family by his side. He was the son of Joseph and Isabelle (Pac) Wojciechowski born on October 2, 1954 in Green Bay. John worked for Fort Howard, later known as Georgia Pacific for over 41 years. He met the love of his life, Vicki Funk while working there and they were married on May 17, 1975. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters. John delighted in being with his family; going on vacations and cook outs. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being on the land that he helped develop with his dad; and where John and Vicki later built their forever home. John always had a smile on his face and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a very proud grandpa of his four talented grandsons. John attended every soccer, football, and baseball game. He enjoyed fishing with the boys in the Suamico River that was in his backyard. John also loved going up north to their cabin, cutting wood, enjoying bonfires, playing beanbags, shooting guns, and going on the pontoon. John adored his son-in-law, Ben, they spent a lot of time together and made great memories.
John is survived by his wife Vicki of 47 years; their daughters: Nicole Wojciechowski and her two sons: Luke and Brett of Hobart; and Katie (Ben) Fruzen and their sons: Brock and Alex of Pulaski; his mother, Isabelle; four siblings: Anne (Tom) Goerke of River Falls, Tom Wojciechowski of Charlotte, NC; Eve (Bruce) Schoblaska of Sobieski, and Sue (Mark) DeCoster of Brookfield. John is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, and parents-in-law, Raymond and Patricia Funk.
Friends and family may visit at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, Receptions on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am with funeral service to follow at 11:30am. Interment will take place at St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Suamico.
