John W. Legois

John W. Legois, 89, Green Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Thursday, March 14, 2013. He was born August 8, 1923, in Sheboygan Falls, to the late John and Meta (Kubel) Legois. On December 27, 1948 he married the love of his life, Elizabeth "Betty" Selner in Kewaunee. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry as a radio and radar repair specialist. He was employed at FMC Corp. for 37 years until his retirement. John enjoyed golfing, gardening, camping, fishing, woodworking, photography, and a great handyman.

John is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty; and 4 children, Suzanne Legois, Karen (Bob) Beaupre, Steven Legois, and John D. Legois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Harvey and Darwin Legois.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00pm, with Pastor Tom Bain. Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
