John Richard Tollefson

John Richard Tollefson passed away April 3, 2024. He was born on February 9, 1952, the third son of Howard and Blanche (Hockers) Tollefson.
John Married Beverly Vanden Hoogen on July 28, 1972. They were married for 41 years. John and Bev loved to travel and had many adventures with family and friends. They adored their Golden Retrievers: Jessie, Brew and Abby. John was a faithful member of the Green Bay Community Church. Those who knew John know we lost him 14 years ago, but today he has made his journey home and he has found peace. He will be missed.
John is survived by his 6 siblings: Carl J. (Debbie), Paul H. (Nancy), Eric C. (Patricia), Kristine M. (Daryl) Helm, Lisa A. (Dan) Vandevelde and Mark O. (Anne) Tollefson; 19 nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bev.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 2 to 4 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Curative Connections in John's name are appreciated.
John's family would like to express their gratitude to Curative Connections, Caraton Commons, Bellin Health and Touch of Care Medical Transport for their support, care and compassion.
