John P. Johnson

John P. Johnson, age 70, of Oshkosh, formerly of Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018.
He was born on August 20, 1947 in Green Bay to the late Robert & Emerdine Johnson.
John graduated from Premontre in 1966. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served for four years a majority in Bitburg, Germany during the Vietnam War.
He married Linda Dorner of Green Bay in Germany on September 17, 1968. Together they had three children, Jessie, Brett and Jamie. She preceded him in death on June 30, 2008.
John retired from Fort Howard Paper Company in 2006.
John married Jane Brewer Lagore on August 13, 2014.
He enjoyed turkey hunting, deer hunting, fishing, camping, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Wolf River HOG Chapter, member and treasurer for the Knights of Columbus and volunteered for the EAA.
John was known for his sense of humor and jokes. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. John would take his dog Jazzie on motorcycle rides. He was a skilled craftsman and loved making heirlooms for his family and friends.
He was deeply spiritual, a man of faith and a devout catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Johnson; sons, Brett (Nikki) Johnson and Jamie (Amanda) Johnson; son-in-law, Mark Marchi; grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah and Bella Marchi, Beckett and Easton Johnson; sisters, Jody Johnson and Mary (Dick) Fawcett; in-laws, Martha & Melvin Brewer; brother-in-law, Jeff Brewer; sister-in-law, Julie (Dave) Powers and their children, Emma, Jennifer and Evan; and numerous family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda; daughter, Jessica Marchi.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Monday, January 29, 2018, at St. Agnes Parish, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 pm with Rev. Tim Shilcox, O.Praem. officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bellin Cancer Center and ThedaCare Hospice for their care of John.
