John E. Elmer

John E. Elmer, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at River's Bend Health & Rehab Facility in Manitowoc. He was born to the late Henry and Catherine Elmer on July 12, 1928 in Maribel, WI.
John worked as a piano tuner for over 60 years. He was known in the Manitowoc County area as "The Piano Tuner." He married Maxine Belonger on July 1, 1989 at Silver Lake College Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Elmer and John's children: Edward Elmer and his children: Monica, Melanie and Michelle; Marci (Tim) Smith; Christopher John and his son, Christopher; Lori (Hans) Mayne; Teresa (Steven) Wallach and son, Mason; Rene Albert Elmer; sister, Kay Elmer as well as many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy.
A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home in Manitowoc from 12 PM until 1:30 PM with a memorial service to follow at 1:30. A small reception will take place at 2 PM at the Harrigan Gathering Center.
John's family would like to thank HFM Hospice and the staff at River's Bend for the great care they provided John during this time as well as a special thank you to the VA for all of their help they provided.
