John A. Christianson
Passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the age of 94.
Born on June 13, 1928 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to his parents, Harold and Evelyn Christianson. He went to school at Green Bay West High School and then to UW- Madison before he was called to service in the U.S. Navy. John was a proud Navy Pilot in the Korean War. After the war, he, his brother, Bill, and father, Harold went on to own and run Christianson Electric for their whole careers. John married Germaine on June 28, 1952 and spent almost 69 years together until her passing in June 2021. They raised two children together.
Some of the things John loved were the Green Bay Geology club, teaching faceting at NWTC, hunting, fishing, photographing wildlife, and flying his own plane for many years. John was quite the outdoorsman. He was happiest when he was either in the woods or in the air. He spent many great years traveling to upper Michigan and summers at the cottage in Mountain, Wisconsin.
Survived by his two children, Jay (Devon) Christianson and Kay Metis; grandchildren, Zach Kroening, Parker and Brennan Christianson, and Mael Metis, and his sister-in-law, Dale Christianson. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Per John's wishes, no public services are to be held. Private family services will take place.
