John Glenn Baker

On the afternoon of February 7th 2024 John Glenn Baker of Green Bay passed away peacefully at the age of 74 while surrounded by family and friends. John was born September 22nd 1949 in Green Bay to Dempsey & Bernice Baker (Servais).

John was married February 5th 1972 to the love of his life Therese Skaleski. They had 2 children, Angela and Johnathan lovingly nicknamed Bonno and Bruiser by their father. He loved hunting, fishing, and his beloved Harley which he called “Baby”. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson Alexander John Baker, and hanging out at Dell’s Cycle with his friends.

He will truly be missed by all who have known him by many nicknames including Big Bad John, Big Bear, Papa Bear, Joe the Jag, and many more. John was predeceased by his father Dempsey Baker, sister Bonnie Herlache, and his favorite uncle Ervin Servais. He is survived by Bernice Baker (mother), Shelly Jadin (sister), Gail Ligon (sister), Mary Kay Kox (sister), James Baker (brother), Angela Baker (daughter), Johnathan Baker (son), Therese Baker, and Alexander Baker (grandson).

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Green Bay Health Services and Unity Hospice for their care and support over the last 6 months. Per his wishes there will be no funeral, and a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
