John Babich

John M. Babich, age 67, of Sturgeon Bay, died peacefully at home, Thursday, August 25, 2016, with his sister at his side. John was born July 14, 1949 in Two Rivers, son of the late George and Hazel (Zinn) Babich. He attended St. John Lutheran School and Washington High School.
He was employed at Bay Ship in Sturgeon Bay and most recently Beach Harbor Resort. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and NASCAR. He enjoyed reading about the Great Lakes, Shipwrecks, music and gardening and his dog, Dixie.
John is survived by his children: Jason (Tonia) Babich, Laona, WI, Shane (Tanya) Babich, Laona, WI, Jake Babich, Two Rivers, Amy (Ryan) O'Day, Menasha, WI; 8 grandchildren: Halia, Hunter, Austin, Nikki, KayLee, Noah, Lilly and Buckley; sisters, Jeanne (Jerry) Krueger, Manitowoc and Cheryl (Jeff) Krueger, Manitowoc; brothers, Steven (Elaine) Babich, Santa Maria, CA and Gary (Lee) Babich, Pardeeville, WI; his good friend, Lisa Anschutz; the family of Debra Petry; nieces; nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Babich; brother-in-law, Jeff Landt and his partner of 22 years, Debra Petry.
Memorials may be directed to NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI 54301) and they will be forwarded to the family.
