Joanne K. Bennett

Joanne K. Bennett (Jacobs), 77, of Green Bay passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. She was born on October 14, 1935, in Green Bay to the late Clyde and Rose (Janquart) Jacobs. Joanne married Kenneth Bennett on October 24, 1959, and they shared 53 loving years together.

Joanne was extremely artistic and creative and especially enjoyed designing jewelry, porcelain dolls, gardening and furniture restoration. Joanne's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Bennett; daughter, Victoria (David) Bennett Veum; son, Daniel Bennett; grandchildren, Samuel, Katherine, Alexander; step-grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin; brother, Richard (Marion) Jacobs; brother-in-law, Thomas (Mary Lou) Bennett; sister-in-law, Luella Bennett; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gregory Bennett; sister, Shirley Herfort; brother-in-law, Don Herfort and step-father George Steffens.

Family and friends may call Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Burial will be in Fort Howard Cemetery.
