Joann L. Lara

Joann L. Lara (Prince), age 72, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was born on November 13, 1951, in Oconto, WI, to the late Richard and Ann (Castonia) Prince.

Joann led a vibrant life filled with a variety of interests and passions. She enjoyed participating in softball, darts, fishing, playing BINGO, and shooting pool. A lover of horses, she embraced the joy these animals brought her. However, her greatest love was for her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the center of her world, and she found immense joy in spending time with them. Joann had a unique ability to connect with children, often engaging with them wherever she went. As an avid Green Bay Packers fan, she took pleasure in watching their games.

Joann is survived by her children, Joe (Natana) Lara and Daniel (Dawn) Lara; her grandchildren, Arron (Melanie), Corina (Roger Flores), Jayden, NaBria, and Dominic; and her great-grandchildren, Priscilla, Leerah, Gianna, and Huxley. Additionally, she is survived by her niece, Jamie (Rick) Bramer; her nephew, Jeff (Liza) Sot; and her great-niece, Harleigh Sot.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ann Prince, and her sister, Sheryn Sot.

Joann L. Lara will be remembered fondly for her warmth, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on the lives of her family and friends.
