Joan A. Miller, age 87, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on January 14, 1936 in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Andrew and Matilda (Treml) Sustman. She graduated from Green Bay West in 1954. She was united in marriage to Don Miller on June 1, 1957, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Green Bay. Together they shared 61 years of wedded bliss. In their retirement, Don and Joan lived in Estero, Florida.
She was a Librarian for Brown County Public Library for over 40 years. After retirement, Joan would help out tending bar for Biebels and Gerczak Liquor. She always loved meeting up with classmates and having monthly lunch dates and reliving some good memories. Joan enjoyed time with her Bridge Club, knitting sweaters and mittens for the family, playing Sheephead, and loved going to the Moose Lodge and D2.
Joan is survived by her three children: Michael (Lisa) Miller, Kari Semrau, and Thomas "TJ" (fiancée Denise) Miller; grandchildren: Andrew (Mary), Eric (Eden) and Justin; step-grandchildren, Benjamin (Renee), Zachary, Sarah (Jake), Alysan and Marissa; six great-grandchildren and one on the way: three brothers: Jim Sustman, Bernie (Donna) Sustman, and Dick (Chris) Sustman; three sisters-in-law, Judy Sustman, Joanne Kemps, and Debbie (Rick) Kinney; she is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don, daughter, Susan Rogers, son-in-law, James "Squirrel" Semrau, one brother, John Sustman, and one sister-in-law, Evie Sustman.
Friends and family may visit at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 401 Gray Street, on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm with a Mass at 1:30 pm with Father Tony De los Santos presiding.
