Joan Grace (Daul) Krause (89) fell asleep in death September 5th, 2023 after a long illness.
She was born August 18, 1934 to Charlotte (VanderMeulen) & Francis Daul in Green Bay, WI.
Joann married Lawrence (Larry) Krause on September 7, 1957. Together, they had 3 children, Moira, Jessie, & Anthony. They raised their family on the VanderMeulen homestead on the north-east side of Green Bay.
Joann worked for Fabry Glove before she married Larry, after which she was able to stay home to raise their family. When the kids were grown, she worked cleaning at two local business offices.
Joann loved her family. Her happiest times were when the whole "clan" were together. She also immensely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking them "downtown" via the city bus, taking them to lunch or having sleepovers, making chocolate sundaes & playing Monopoly with them all. Her great-grandchildren were her pride & joy and she would "love them up" at every opportunity.
One of the highlights of Joann's life was when she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on March 22, 1986. She learned from the Bible that soon there will be no more sickness, old age and death on earth. Joann spent a lot of time talking to people about her hope of living on a paradise earth and being reunited with loved ones she lost in death. She made many good friends at the Kingdom Hall she attended and enjoyed all the gatherings with them.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Francis & Charlotte Daul and also her husband of 54 years, Larry.
Survivors include her dear brother, Dexter Daul; her children, Moira (Jim) Carpiaux, Jessie (Patric) Klipstine & Anthony (Jennifer) Krause; grandchildren, Molly (George) Macaluso, Nicolas Carpiaux, Colin (Kaycie) Vickman, Garrett (Haley) Vickman, & Wade Klipstine; great-grandchildren, Evelyn & Theo; Eleanor, & Cheyanne.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the East Green Bay Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2895 E. Mason St., with a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm. Service will be available on ZOOM as well. Please email: ajkrause95@gmail.com for sign-on information.
The family would like to thank the staff of Tender Hearts of Howard and ProMedica Hospice for taking such good care of our mother/grandmother the last several months.
