Joan C. Boettcher, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
She was born in Menominee, MI, on February 19, 1934 to the late Paul & Pearl Ryan. Joan graduated from Menominee High School. After high school, she met her future husband, Waldemar "Jack" Boettcher. They were married in 1961.
She worked for Aurora Baycare Medical Center in environmental services and Tufco Industries for many years.
Joan loved her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, music, spending time in the garden and especially going out to lunch with her family. She always made birthday cakes for each of her families birthdays. She loved the holidays and that she was always able to spend them with her family.
Survivors include her two children, Jan (Allan) Maroszek and Jeff (Joann) Boettcher; grandchildren, Valerie (Steve) Lardinois, Alex Maroszek, Taylor Maroszek, Lauren Maroszek, Ruby Boettcher, Olivia Maroszek and Lily Boettcher; two great-grandchildren, Landon & Diem Lardinois; siblings, Virginia Lauzon, Kathleen "Corky" (Dwight) Peterson and Judy (Darrell) Ethington.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Waldemar "Jack" Boettcher; grandson, Eric Vieau; brothers, Roland "Bud" Ryan and Ken "Jim" Ryan; twin sister, Jean Krause.
Per Joan's wishes, private services will be held by the family. Entombment will be at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of St. Vincent Hospital and Unity Hospice for the compassionate care of Joan and her family. She will be dearly missed.
