Jill A. Wery

Jill A (Marsland) Wery passed away peacefully with her daughter in law Kris Wery by her side on Tuesday morning, May 10, 2022.
Jill was born on June 11, 1946 to Albert and Evelyn (DeVos) Marsland. Her twin Jack Marsland, always said ladies first as she made her way into the world.
Jill loved to play cards, especially Rummy 500 and enjoyed watching the Packers and many other sports. She watched anything sports related, even golf. She wore her special Packer hat for each game. She created many memories up north at Lake Noquebay, with her siblings, children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren and Sunday morning breakfasts. She played Bingo and celebrated her winnings with her family. She worked many years at Wal-Mart. No one fought harder than Jill. She survived polio as a child, breast cancer and had her knees and hips replaced, a true bionic woman. She will be remembered as a kind, loving and generous woman.
Jill graduated from Green Bay West High School, the class of 1964.
Jill will be missed by her husband Tom Wery. They celebrated 56 years of marriage on Halloween. Her son Bob (Kris) Wery with their daughter, Nadine (Ben) Midthun, son Alex Wery and daughter Adri Wery (Alex Schmidtka), her daughter Becca Wery with her daughters Sydney Manci, Samantha (Gavin) Reinhard and son Giacomo Manci, and her great-grandchildren, Brayden, Chelsea, Pearl, Tommy and Ozzlynn, along with her siblings Judi Rass, Jack (Sue) Marsland, Jim (Jane) Marsland, Jenny (Jerry) Wixon, Josie (John) Urban, and her brother in laws Howard Rice and Jerry Acken along with many nieces and nephews survive her.
Her parents, Albert and Evelyn (DeVos) Marsland, along with her sisters Joanne Marsland and Jan Rice, her brother Joe Marsland, her in laws, Carl and Edith Wery, her sister in law Janice Acken and niece Kim Heslip and nephew Brent Acken welcomed her into heaven.
The family extends their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Wyndemere Memory Care and Moments Hospice for the care provided to Jill and her family during this difficult time.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm with a time to share memories at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home.
