Jennifer L. Horkman, age 76, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 13, 2023, surrounded by her beloved sons. She was born November 25, 1946 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Frank and Elaine (Pagenkopf) Borowitz and was a graduate of Pulaski High School, Class of 1965.
Jennifer worked for many years as a stylist in various salons in both Chicago and in the Green Bay area. Jenny married Lauren Horkman in September of 1965 and was blessed with 2 sons. Later in her life, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from UW-Green Bay, an accomplishment that she was very proud of.
Jennifer was a very artistic and creative woman. Her creations included everything from custom clothing pieces to unique handmade holiday decorations. She shared her gifts proudly with her friends and family. Her proudest role was being a mom and a grandma. She had a generous and giving heart and never turned down an opportunity to help anyone in need.
Jennifer will be dearly missed by those who survive her including her 2 sons, Dann and Darren Horkman; 4 grandchildren: Xavier, Jalivia, Maddux and Eddy Horkman and 3 brothers: Frank Borowitz Jr., Paul (Marlene) and Michael Borowitz. She is further survived by her Goddaughter and niece, Teri (Bill) Kilp, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, a sister, Judith Borowitz Prenevost and a sister-in-law, Barbara Borowitz.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM. A memorial service will follow at 7 PM.
Jennifer's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
