Jennifer G. "Jenny" Bawyn, age 56, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at her home, Monday, March 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born June 13, 1965 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of the late Nova and Genevieve (Metoxen) Hill.
Jenny attended Green Bay Southwest High School and went on to earn her Associate's Degree from NWTC. She began working at the Oneida BINGO Hall and later became a Blackjack Dealer when Oneida Casino opened. Jenny married Kenny Bawyn, September 14, 2012 and they shared 9 adventurous years as husband and wife.
Jenny was a woman that lived life to the fullest and she enjoyed many hobbies. Some of her interests included: traveling, gambling, eating, debating with others, taking captivating photos of others, rummage sales, thrift shopping, pontoon rides, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, crocheting, playing BINGO at Cheri's place, attending concerts, selling Princess House, party planning and gift giving. She had a charitable and giving nature and was an amazing planner of many fundraisers.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Kenny; her son, Steve Hubers and his son, Leeland; a daughter, Amanda Detke; step-daughter, Jasmine Bawyn and her family; siblings: Lee (special friend) Hill, Robert (Anna) Skenandore and their children and Josie (John) Steeno; special friends: Darlene Longcore, Mary Fabry, Sarah Danforth, Fern Danay, Feather Hebb and her entire casino family; cousins, Toni and Zeb Spruce; special nephew, Nova Johnson and family; special niece, Angie Denny; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nova and Genevieve Hill; Zelda Metoxen; nephew, Damien Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Roland Johnson and her friends: Marlene Floresta, Pam Ruben and Lola Smith.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Monday, March 14, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM. A prayer service and singing by the Oneida Singers will conclude the visiting hours. Visitation will continue at St. Joe's Catholic Parish ( 936 9th St., Green Bay), Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 10 to 11 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM.
