Jeffrey Maldonado

Jeffrey passed on February 8, 2020, due to accidental drowning. He was born in Green Bay, WI December 24, 1995, to Jose Juan Maldonado and Maria del Carmen Vielma. He was the sixth child and fifth boy of six in a large family of seven children. His first love as a toddler was backhoes-anything backhoe. Next came chocolate, sweets, ice cream, guinea pigs, cats and dogs, soccer, and more soccer, shoes-"fast shoes" were the best, music, and his many friends in no particular order.
He began his schooling at Morgan Martin Elementary and then Anne Sullivan. Then came Washington Middle School, East High School, and Bayport High School for a semester. Jeffrey was always outgoing with kids and adults. He loved his teachers, the cafeteria staff, and the many coaches in his sports. Jeff started playing soccer as a preschooler and continued through the Green Bay Strikers and the East High School JV Boys Soccer team.
His love of music grew when learning to play the drums at Washington Middle School. He earned gold medals three years running with the snare drum in the Green Bay School District's Annual Student Competition. As a member of East High's Marching Band, he marched in area parades, as well as LaCrosse's Octoberfest and twice in Chicago's St. Patrick's Day Parade. He began writing lyrics, mostly poetry, to his light rap music that he performed professionally as "El Jefe" in local clubs and others, including ones in Milwaukee.
Jeffrey's had many friends, young and old, girls and guys wherever he went. He hated bullies and made it a point to stand-up to them for girls and guys who were their victims.
His mother and stepfather, Maria del Carmen Vielma and Manuel Romo, Green Bay, and father Jose Juan Maldonado, San Antonio, Texas, survives him as do his six siblings and their families: Esmeralda and Damon Carroll, Las Vegas, Nevada, Juan Flores Jr., Dallas, Texas, Rogelio and Mindy Flores, Kennewick, Washington, Jesus Flores, Green Bay, Jose Maldonado Jr., Neenah, and Jaden Maldonado, Green Bay. His godparents, Bear and Dianna Daniel, Suamico, also, survive. He was loved by so many and his special friends will miss him forever. All pray that his sadness has gone so he will live in peace and happiness forever.
Vistation and Funeral for Jeffrey is Private but the family is activly working for a public celebration of life at a later day. Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
