Jeannette E. (Shemoncofsky) Hilke, 78, Allouez, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 25, 2012. She was born April 2, 1934 in Angelica, WI to the late Albert and Elizabeth (Stygar) Shemoncofsky. On November 25, 1950 Jeannette married John Hilke at Saint Mary of the Angels. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2006.
Jeannette was known as an excellent cook, wife and mother, and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Dianne (Steve) Van Pay, Jo-Anne (Norm) Hubert, and Gloria Hilke, all of Green Bay; 2 granddaughters, Danielle Hilke and Stephanie Van Pay; great-grandchildren: Alli, Abbigail, Adrienah, and Christopher; brother-in-law, George Hilke; sister-in-law, Elaine Hilke; special friends, Dan and Brenda Bradley; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and many close brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at St. Mary of the Angels Church, on the corner of Cass St. and Irwin St., Green Bay, from 9:30am until 11:00am. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at the church at 11:00am with Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski O.F.M. officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
Jeannette's wishes were to thank Dan and Brenda Bradley for all the love and care they gave her, Odd Fellows Home for their good care, the nurse's C.N.A. hair care, and all of the staff. Love all of you! I'll be with John and all of my family and friends again.
