Jeanne M. Johnson

Jeanne M. Johnson, age 94, of Green Bay, died Thursday morning, March 6, 2025 at Violet Meadows Assisted Living, with her daughter at her side. Jeanne was born May 23, 1930 in Little Chute, WI to the late Vernon and Mary (Watry) Beattie.

Jeanne married Carl N. Johnson, March 26, 1975 in Las Vegas.

Jeanne retired from Procter & Gamble, May 31, 1990. She was the first woman technician hired at the Fox River Plant, starting in converting, September 26, 1972. Jeanne was a member of the Eagles Club for over 60 years.

Jeanne enjoyed family, traveling, nature, flowers and animals. Her favorite place in the world was her cottage on Anderson Lake, Suring, WI, where she spent most of her time after retirement.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Heather Johnson and grandson, Brandon Stowe (Ashley Novak). She is further survived by 2 brothers, Ronald "Ron" Beattie and Gerold "Jerry" (Cathy) Beattie; 2 sisters, Joan LaFond and Noreen Mrotek; a sister-in-law, Natalie "Nat" Beattie; Godsons: Bob LaFond, Mike Massey and John Reese and special friends: Patti (Long) Rasmussen, Merna Todd, Robert Johnson and Tom.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kevin Stowe; 2 brothers, Allen Beattie and Royal "Roy" Beattie; 4 sisters: Yvonne Ackley, Mary Ellen "Ellie" Sanders, Patricia "Patty" Massey and Karen Ann Beattie; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Beattie and Lynn Beattie; brothers-in-law: Doug Ackley, Dan Sanders, Rodrick "Rod" LaFond and Robert "Bob" Mrotek and 3 German Shepherds: Lobo, Daisy and Lily.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 2 to 4 PM. A funeral service will follow at 4 PM. Burial will be in St. John Nepomucene Cemetery, Little Chute, WI.
