Jay Shipla, 38, of Green Bay, passed away on July 6, 2021 as he lived his life, full of love in a final act of kindness he donated his organs; saving numerous lives.
Jay was born on January 10, 1983 in Green Bay, son of Tony and Debbie (Burke) Shipla. He will be greatly missed by his children, family, and friends. He gave of himself to everyone he knew and always had a way to make you smile. Jay had a generous spirit and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a hard worker, and believed in doing things the right way the first time. His energy, spirit, and love he shared will always be cherished and remembered by those who knew him.
He is survived by his three children: Jameson, Keegan, Briella and his ex-wife and good friend, Nikki Jahnke-Shipla. His parents, Tony and Debbie Shipla, a brother, Joshua (Patty) Shipla. Jay leaves many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 12th from 4 - 7 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. The evening will end with family and friends sharing memories of Jay at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials will be directed to a memorial for his children, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
