Jarrod L. Washington

June 11, 1981 — March 22, 2021

Jarrod Louis Washington, 39, Green Bay was welcomed into his heavenly home on Monday, March 22, 2021. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who loved him.

Jarrod has always been described as a polite and kind young man. It has been said that he didn't have a bad thing to say about anyone. He was sensitive, fun-loving, and always had a joke to share. He enjoyed socializing with sharing his many friendships.

Jarrod graduated from Southwest High School in 2000. He enjoyed sports, especially football and baseball which he played and excelled. He had a good rapport with children as he worked at the Boys and Girls Club. After high school he worked in the grocery industry, PDQ Car Wash, and at several jobs in the fast-food industry. For years he enjoyed his membership at the YMCA Broadview where he was proudly named "Member of the Month". There he and his daughter, Ariana shared Zumba and Pilates classes. For a time, Jarrod was an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church with his daughter, Ariana where he faithfully attended Mass and participated in Generations of Faith with her. Although his life ended too soon, Jarrod will always be remembered with his easy smile, humility, and tender heart.

Jarrod is survived by his husband of three years, Danny Steffenhagen; his daughter, Ariana Washington of Green Bay, step-son, Ryan (Anna) Steffenhagen and their daughter Mia; his mother, Ann Washington of Green Bay; his siblings: Heather Washington Schmidt of Edina, MN; Austin Washington of Milwaukee, Whitney Washington of Milwaukee; uncle and aunts: Mark (Cathy) Lindsay, Mary Beth (Tim) Wendt, Toni (Michael) Davis, Lori (George) Kilsdonk, and Georgianna Washington; and a niece, nephew, many dear cousins, second cousins and loving friends.

Jarrod was preceded in death by his father, Jack Washington; his maternal grandparents, Alice and Lester "Bud" Lindsay; his paternal grandparents, Velma and Lee Washington.
