Janice "Jan" Van Horn, 84, of Green Bay, was reunited with the love of her life on November 16, 2023, on what would have been her husband's 88th birthday. She was born on February 15, 1939 to Ernest and Anna (DeGrand) Rogers in Oconto. On August 14, 1954, she married Dave Van Horn. Janice worked as a LPN for over 20 years, specializing in pediatric care. After retiring, she took care of the nuns at Sisters of Our Lady of Charity. She was very faithful and treasured her trip to Rome. Janice was very musical, she played the accordion and the keyboard. She was a member of the Suamico Historical Society, and enjoyed camping, playing bridge and bingo. Janice will always be known for lighting up a room with her bright smile and colorful clothes. Janice loved spending time with her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her four loving children: Sharon (Gordon) Sannes, Wendy (Allen) Duerr, Lisa Perrizo, and Brian Van Horn; daughter-in-law, Jane Van Horn, 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, god children: Sara Osawe and Jenny Whitefield; further survived by a sister, brothers, brothers and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Dave, and one son, Bruce.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2023, 10:00 am at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 936 9th Street Green Bay, with Mass to follow at 12:00 pm. Private inurnment at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
