Jane A. Mornard, age 94, DePere, died Monday, August 24, 2015. She was born April 22, 1921, in Green Bay to Arthur and Marie (Bertrand) Kosnar. Jane graduated from East High School in 1939. She then attended St. John Nursing School in Springfield, IL, graduating as a Registered Nurse. Her first employment was at Wood's Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
Jane married Joseph P. Mornard on August 2, 1945, in Green Bay. Months later, when the war was over, Jane and Joe settled in Green Bay. Later Jane returned to her nursing career working at St. Vincent Hospital for approximately 7 years. The next several years she was employed in a local doctor's office and then worked for the American Red Cross. Jane finished her nursing career as an industrial nurse at what is now the Day Street plant of Georgia Pacific.
Jane had a clever sense of humor and enjoyed an active life. She loved to travel with her husband, golfing, getting together with her Cousins Club, dance clubs, getting together with the girls at coffee klatches, playing cards, and garage sale-ing. Jane enjoyed hearing a good story as much as she enjoyed telling one. She was happiest when spending time with her family.
