James A. Zirbel

July 18, 1943 — March 19, 2021

James Allen Zirbel, 77, Abrams WI, passed away peacefully at Saint Mary's hospital, Friday, March 19, 2021. He was born in Maplewood, WI, July 18, 1943, to the late Eldor and Helen (Sehlar) Zirbel. Jim started his employment with Charmin Paper Mill and worked there until his retirement at the early age of 55.

Jim was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, Green Bay Packer games, and Nascar racing. He was also an avid cribbage player. He will be remembered most as a loving husband, dad, son, brother and friend. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Koper) Zirbel; Son, Chris (Renee) Zirbel; Daughters, Carla (Jason) Richmond, Laura (Dan) VanDenBusch; Step-siblings, Wesley (Trenie) Miller, Lisa (Mark) Turrittin, Connie (Thomas "T.J.") Johnson, Edward Miller; Brother, Rick (Dianne) Zirbel; Sisters, Ellen (Ray) Jennerjohn, JoAnn (Dean) Baumann.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers Wayne (Nancy) Zirbel, Robert (Judy) Zirbel, Michael Zirbel, and his stepson Gordon Vanidestine.

A celebration of life is planned at Jim and Barb's residence at a future date.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 3rd, 2021, from 1 P.M. - 3 P.M. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
