James L. Thornton Ii

James L. Thornton II, 55, of Green Bay, WI., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 6, 2021. He was born on October 22, 1965 to the late James L. and Yvonne (Kajune) Thornton Sr.
On February 8, 1992 James married the love of his life, Melanie Juds. Together they raised three children: Tabetha, James and Rachel.
James enjoyed working for himself as a small engine mechanic.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandpa.
James is survived by his wife of almost 29 years, Melanie; three children: Tabetha Thornton, James L. Thornton III and Rachel Thornton; two grandsons: Dustin and Jacob; brother LeRoy Thornton. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Christine Schoessow.
Visitation for James will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Newcomer- Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI., 54301) from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. A Prayer Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial for James will be at Spencer Lake Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's and Unity Hospice for the care and compassion given to James while in their care.
