James "Jim" Tenor Sr.
Passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 with his wife, Mary and his dog, Petey by his bedside while surrounded by loved ones.
Born to his parents, Walter and Adeline on June 14, 1937.
Jim started his journey working construction with his dad and three uncles at Tenor Brothers Construction until successfully starting his own company, Ronet Construction in 1973 with his three brothers. He retired in 2005 after working for over 50 years in the field he loved.
He met his loving wife in 1987, and they were married May 19, 1989.
Some of his favorite hobbies that he enjoyed with his family included hunting up North and fishing at the cottage. Other things that he enjoyed were traveling, feeding his wildlife, and spending winters in Florida.
Preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dolly; three sons, Mark, Pete (Kathy), Mike (Mary); brother, Dick; sister, Wanda Coppens; brother-in-laws, Bryan "Butch" Lindberg, John Lemmen, John De Bauche, Thomas "Chum" La Luzerne; sister-in-laws, Carol Freeman and Donna Freeman; his in-laws, John (Lucy) Freeman, and many aunts and uncles. Also his canine friends, Gruffette, Gruffy, and Jack.
Survived by his wife, Mary; children, Diane (Les) Knight, Jim Jr. (Chris) Tenor, Jeff (Tina) Tenor, Jesse Conard (Friend Julie), Tamara Conard; special grandson, Nathan Conard and his fiance, Nicole; siblings, Donna Lemmen, Bonnie De Bauche, Karen (Dean) Gigot, Ken (Gerrie) Tenor, David (Donna) Tenor, and Dennis (Jane) Tenor; brother-in-laws, Len Coppens, Arnold (Lynne) Freeman, Arlin Freeman, and Dan Freeman; sister-in-laws, Delores (Roger) Meulemans, Elaine La Luzerne, Carol (Scott) Zettlemoyer, and 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; God daughters, Deb Walsh and Joan Stordeur; God son, Bob Tenor; canines, Petey and Sally, and many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 5 pm - 7 pm with a prayer service to follow at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave. Green Bay, WI). Additional visitation will take place the next day, Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 9:30 am - 11 am at St. Philip the Apostle (312 Victoria St, Green Bay, WI) with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 am. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery- Green Bay (3985 Church Road Bay Settlement, WI).
Family would like to extend a very special thanks to Nathan, Nicole, Bonnie, and Candi for being here for us whenever we needed them also to the hospice nurses Leah, and Angela.
