James 'Jim' Michael Stock, 71, departed this world on January 1, 2022 surrounded by the love of his wife and children. His unexpected passing has left us heartbroken, only to be healed by the remembrance and honoring of his life.
Born September 19, 1950 in Green Bay, WI, Jim was one of five siblings and the only boy born to Frank and Mavis Stock. He attended Premontre High School, graduating class of 1968 and worked at Fort Howard Paper Company, where he would meet his loving wife of 51 years, Kathy Stock (née Wigman). Jim led a life of service, moving on to join the United States Air Force. While serving as a medic in the Air Force, he helped patients, veterans and their families all while starting his own with his wife and two children at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Upon returning to Green Bay with his family Jim continued his work at the mill for 32 years, retiring at age 54.
His favorite pastimes were hunting and enjoying the outdoors near his cottage in Crivitz, WI and occasional trips to Colorado and Montana. Though hunting was a hobby, his most cherished moments were spent with his family.
He is welcomed into eternity along with his parents, his father-in-law Bernard Wigman and, most recently, his mother-in-law Eva Wigman (née Reed).
His many stories, love of reading and learning, big laughs and love of the great outdoors will be remembered by the lives he's touched over the years. His life is honored by the legacy of love he left with his wife Kathy (née Wigman), and two children, Sarah Stock and Jamie (Emily) Stock. He is also the proud grandfather of Stephanie, William and Madison Stock. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends including his four sisters Sharon(Duane) Borassa, Mary frank, LaVonne Danzeris, and Joni (Mario) Valerio.
Visitation for Jim will be held on Saturday, January 15 at Newcomer (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI 54301) from 11am - 1pm. A prayer service will follow at 1:00PM.
