James R. Poh

James R. Poh, 79, of Green Bay, born into Eternal Life on Monday, January 19, 2015. Jim is survived by wife JoAnn (nee Knotek), children Jennifer (Christopher) Reese, James Poh and Daniel (Veronica) Poh, sister Marge (Clayton) Christensen, and grandchildren Aurora (Dustin) Lybeck, Kara (Kristopher) Krause, Hailey and Christian Reese and Jessica Poh, as well as stepchildren Jim, Russ and Jeff Schuster and many nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Gertrude, and by his brother Don. Visitation will be held from 9:30am until 10:45am on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.

Jim was a graduate of West High School, where he played trombone in the band. He later served in the U.S. Navy. His long time career included work in marketing communications and sales with firms such as WH Brady Company, Milprint, the Milwaukee Journal, Select Magazine and Thomas Register. He later went on to drive school bus for Laidlaw in the Green Bay area – a job that brought him a great deal of joy. Jim also enjoyed gardening, bowling, crossword puzzles, woodworking, rooting for the Packers and spending time with his family and friends.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of the neighbors, friends and family who have been a source of support and encouragement.
